Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Washington County Criminal History does not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to review and answer it. Messages are not voluntarily disclosed outside the organization, though a valid legal duty may require disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Ordinary server and analytics records can collect technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers combine that usage data. A browser can reject or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing failures and maintaining reliable page delivery
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which Washington County resources visitors use
- Improving performance and correcting technical faults
- Supporting advertising that may reflect user interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Washington County Criminal History does not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It identifies official sources such as the sheriff, filing courts, Arkansas State Police systems, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry Search. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy terms govern data entered there, including retention and sharing decisions beyond this site's control. Review the selected provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Washington County offices, Arkansas courts, state agencies, or private tools. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's policy controls. Read those terms before providing personal data.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing is governed by the provider.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information can be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so a loss, misuse, or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Verified notice of such data will be handled through deletion where reasonably possible.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary by residence and applicable law. Arkansas public-record access is governed in part by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. section 25-19-101 et seq., while criminal-history dissemination is addressed by Ark. Code Ann. section 12-12-1506. Subject to the law that applies, a person may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
